Innovative Marketing- An Introduction


This blog will cover my thoughts and ideas on innovative marketing. In today’s result driven market, most companies resort to aggressive marketing techniques. It is imperative that, to get an edge over competitors, one must develop innovative marketing strategies. This, then, will form the basis of attaining a competitive edge over others; not only for growth but for survival as well.

How am I qualified to talk about innovative marketing?

My Engineering degree, from one of the leading professional colleges in India, BITS Pilani, has given a strong foundation to my analytical and quantitative skills. My interest towards marketing management began in my fourth semester where I had a course in Principles of Marketing for Engineers.

With technology becoming obsolete every other day, competencies changing fast, there is a cut throat competition in innovation, promoting, pricing and selling. This scenario has made it almost mandatory for us engineers to study the marketing principles and practices. With the help of this course I came to understand the definition of marketing and the various marketing strategies and concepts. I found the topics in this course fascinating and enthralling. This was the reason why I opted for my Masters in Marketing from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

The excellent education and training I received at Strathclyde has provided me with theoretical knowledge and an in depth idea of practical approaches in aiding managerial decision-making and enabled me to develop an expertise in the core areas of marketing.

The purpose of this blog is to share my ideas on innovative marketing strategies with the world.
